The work keeps rolling

How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel. We found her when we started doing service haha, the people here dont like it when you serve them so we just go and serve without asking haha. But we started cutting some wood and she said ¨Elders Come here!!!¨ so we just started teaching her and she wasn´t very interested but we got her to church and she had an amazing experience and said that she wants to come to church everyweek!! She was way more interested when we taught her the next time it was awesome!! Were also starting to play soccer on every friday so im starting to get really good haha not really! But a lot of investigators and members are coming so thats really good to help the investigators make friends!!!


Something I really liked that I learned this week is the blessings of obedience. Sometimes it 
isn´t always the easiest to be obedient but the lord really does bless us. It makes me sad that not everyone is obedient even missionaries but there are so many blessings when we are obedient. One of my favorite scriptures to share with people here is Mosiah 2:41 " And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out Faithfull to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it" Truly we are blessed when we are obedient and although we don´t always see the blessing in the moment we will be blessed! I want to challenge everyone to be more like nephi when his older brothers are disobedient to stay obedient. We can always find excuses like "but he isn´t obedient there is always someone or a leader who is disobedient . Our willingness to be obedient is only an act to show god that we love him because it says in the scriptures " If ye love me keep my commandments!!"

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. He said to stop focusing on the things you didn't like about your companion and to focus on the things your companion was good at and since then its been great. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome!
