Elder Jones

We have been grinding that Facebook finding, I guess I have been causing Facebook some issues or maybe Facebook is telling me to quit working because we have been contacting so many people on Facebook that it tells me it can't send more messages! We have actually been able to see some great miracles from Facebook finding and have found a few people from our area and we were able to teach them a few times and give them a Book of Mormon! We keep meeting most of our goals and passing the mission standards by quite a bit!  We have been able to find some of the most ELECT ready people ever and have seen so many blessings from Facebook. We  had Zone conference and some missionaries got in contact with Corona so we had to have half go online and half be actually there, luckily I got to go there! But because of that we got more restrictions so we can't play Spikeball or basketball anymore :(  Speaking of Spikeball right after zone conference we saw some guys playing Spikeball and...

Another great week for us in blue springs! Elder Nelson and I have been putting in some work! They split our area in half so we needed to find some new people so we contacted a ton and we were able to find 5 new people this week which is a tonnnnn!!!! The mission standard is 1 a week so we smashed that goal haha! 2 we found through Facebook and we were able to teach them a bit! We have been teaching a ton of lessons members and investigators! We have been working hard and seeing the results! I also got to teach a guy from Columbia he was way cool and understood everything we taught very well, hopefully the missionaries there are able to find him! We did some service a few weeks ago for this guy and we kept trying to set up lessons with him and we finally got one and his wife listened in too, he seemed to like it a lot and we were able to give him a book of mormon and committed him to reading and praying! It's been another great week! This week started a little sad we had to say goodbye to Elder Clements:( He finished his mission and is home now but in came the trainee Elder Nelson!!!!! Super cool Elder Nelson and I went to the same school and knew each other before the mission super excited that I get to train him! We have been able to see a few miracles already!!  This week Elder Sanns and I were able to teach a guy from Germany who speaks Spanish! The guy was really cool he was a preacher in his church and he had a lot of interesting views of himself and jesus christ and as we were closing the lesson it was super funny we asked if we could close with a prayer and he said sure then "wait! wait! wait! Do you guys want to get baptized?" Elder Sanns and I were so confused we both just started laughing haha! We have had such a crazy and great week! This week we were able to expand our teaching pool a but which was really nice because we weren't teaching many before! We got a new elder too so now we have 4 elders here and 2 companionships! My companion now is Elder Clements but transfers are this Thursday and he is finishing his mission this Thursday! Super crazy but now they are going to have me train which is going to be crazy because I just got to the mission and still don't know much about it here haha! I'm super excited though and I hope we will be blessed with some more success!  Some cool and funny things from the week Last Monday we played soccer with a bunch of missionaries and I saw this guy moving a soccer goal and he looked like he needed help so I went over and started helping him, he was really appreciative and I ended up giving him a Book of Mormon on the spot mid soccer match haha! We also have one of our new investigators Adam we were able to get him on date!!!!...

This might be a little long and crazy but it was awesome hopefully worth the read. We also did a ton of service this week but I'll have to mention that another time!  This week was INSANE!!!!!!!!! Crazy story so Tuesday we had a live zoom call with Andy Ried!!!! For all of you that probably don't know who he is, he is the kansas city chiefs head coach, andddd they just won THE SUPER BOWL!!!!! He just gave us a super sweet pump up devotional and how we need to be tough just like his football team! He was hyping us up a ton and sharing his conversion story because he is a member of the church #ChurchFamilyandFootball , he also shared some great companionship and leadership qualities and said that he would take a player that maybe isn't the best athlete that works hard rather than an athlete that doesn't work hard and the same applies for us missionaries!!
