Elder Jones

Sorry I couldn`t write last week but i was really busy and they cut our pday in half and it was my comps last week. But we have had such a good two weeks. I got rid of my old companion and got a new one elder Kapua hes really good he was a secretary before and he likes to work a lot. He`s also my first american comp so thats been nice. We have been teaching and finding a ton of potential investigators which has been so awesome and there starting to progress we also brought a bunch of people to church which was so awesome to see so many people come to church we just need to help them progress. Remember a while back when I talked about a doctor guy that we had been working with. We went back to see if we could visit him and we found him and he wanted to talk to us. I was really surprised but he told us he prayed about the book of mormon and that he received an answer that he needed to do something about it I was so happy and were planning on getting him to church. Holy crapppp this week was crazy! Its my companions last transfer and the mission pres told us we gotta focus on reactivating the branch. So thats what we went to do, first the relief society pres told us we need to find a new young womens pres but she wants someone who knows the gospel really well, good with kids, and has a strong family. (No one in the branch haha) she gave us a one option haha but its this sister we have been working with since i got here and they still haven't come to church. I'm pretty good friends with them already and i always pass by when i'm hungry haha so a lot. So we went and passed by and we had a pretty bomb lesson about how change starts with you. This same week we changed houses wednesday that took all morning then we went to a little town in our area called flamboyanes (mosquito town) i hate going there cause repellant doesn't do you any good there are so many mosquitos but we found a sweet x missionary hes actually super cool and he...

So this week has been kinda crazy Tuesday we got called to go to merida at night so we packed up and stayed with the zone leaders then we went to a multi zone conference and we got our smart phones and on wednesday after the multizone conference we had our meetings with the mission president, Thursday we had a funeral which took about all day, Friday there was the burial service, saturday a stake christmas party and Sunday the mission president came to our branch and we had a christmas devotional. It was really hard to find time to work in all of these activities but we are teaching an investigator that we have planned to be baptized on thursday but she isn´t ready for her baptism because she´s a little crazy and she still has some problems she needs to fix and overall need a little stronger testimony. We were trying to explain that we needed to postpone her baptism to teach her more and she just didn´t understand and was starting to get mad and it wasn´t going ...

Over the week passed Thanksgiving and Black Friday but the Black Friday here is a little different haha, instead of the prices going down all the prices go up. You`d think everyone would buy everything before but everyone waits until the prices go up I don`t really understand it? This week was really awesome I have been working with my new comp and its his last transfer so I have been learning a lotttt. After we finished writing the last week we went to visit this family we baptized the day before and they were all so happy and one of the daughters was seeing the blessings they had been receiving. We put a date for baptism with her and she had been studying a lot I was really impressed. I had been praying for her for quiet a while and it took a while and she still has a few problems we have to fix but she`s starting to improve really fast and I`m really exited for her.
