Elder Jones

This week we had the opportunity to go to the temple with 2 recent converts. The plan was to go with the members but they ended up leaving without us (Elder Bonilla, 2 Recent Converts, and I ) so we ended up going in auto progreso together and it was actually really good we got to talk to them about the temple. When we got to the temple grounds I could feel the peace that the temple brings, I have missed that so much. They were a little nervous at first but both got to be witnesses and had such a great experience. One of them got to baptize and was super nervous but after the first one he was baptizing them perfectly and everyone was watching the president of the temple president of the branch it reminded me of when alma is baptising all of the people who left with him in the wilderness because I would Imagine it was such a spiritual moment for those people. After we left he couldn`t stop talking about how much he loved going to the temple and how awesome it was for him and his wife. T...

This week has been crazy I have been working with my new comp Elder Bonilla hes got an accent like Arnold Shwartanager not sure if I spelt that right haha but he`s was crazy hard to understand those first few days but I am used to it now. I was a little worried about planning and finding the houses of people and our very first day we lost our phone haha. So that first day we went around talking to all of our best investigators because we didnt have a phone. We put down appointments to visit them taught a little quick lesson and left. It was a little hard to find everything but wasn`t to big of a problem. Last week we had a problem with this super great family we have been teaching and they`ve gone to church two times. But we had a great excuse to visit them because we no longer had their phone number. My companion is really good at teaching and fixing problems and within the first 5 min we had resolved all the problems and were able to regain their trust. We ended up teac...

We had transfers today and My companion is gone to campeche, But I got a new one he´s pretty dope he´s way less uptight than my old companion but I don´t know if thats a good or a bad thing but Im really excited he seems like a great missionary. Also Im still in Progreso which is awesome and now I can decide where we can go too which is really nice haha. Id send a picture but I still dont have a camera. Friday I was really working on teaching with the spirit and listening to the spirit. We were contacting most of the day and I was speaking spanish perfectly fine it was amazing. Then we had a contact we were going to go visit. We were about mid way through the lesson and I could just feel that we needed to ask him to be baptized so I just asked.  Elder Leal was like whoah, started talking to him about baptism then asked him and he accepted on the first lesson it was awesome. How was everyones confrence, I thought it was great I noticed how much they were emphasizing on avoiding the devil and how the devil knows us so well and knows how to tempt us. I forgot my notes but I really liked the talk by Peter M Johnson from what I understood because it was in spanish haha. But I actually understood a lot more than I thought. But I really like the 4 points he had for us to avoid temptation. 1 Love god and thy neighbor. Keep the commandments, we were teaching a family this week the same family that went to church with us last week, and this girl was like how come my family has all these problems with drugs and was litterally naming the commandments, and we shared how the commandments are trully a blessing in our life because sometimes they seem restricting and keep us from having happiness but they do give us joy that last forever and not temporal happiness. 2 Pray daily with real intent countless times we pray everyday and I remember things that I ask for in m...
