Elder Jones

This has been a super good week starting monday last week we were shopping found a guy named lynn, he works at Walmart. We were able to teach him about the restoration of the church and how the authority has been passed down straight from God. He really liked it and committed to reading the Book of Mormon and wants to get baptized August 22nd! We also found a guy named Miles he was a self referral we sent him a text and he was asking for a BOM so we asked him when and he said RIGHT NOW!!! So I put that car in drive and we went to his house taught him about the Book of Mormon and he said he wants to read the entire thing before we see him again tomorrow! Were finding a ton out here our district is passing most zones in Facebook finding. We are also teaching a guy named Joshua he told us at church sunday he wants to get baptized soon but in order to do that he needs to quit smoking. Li is still on date she cancelled last week but hopefully we will set up a good lesson tuesday with her. O...

This week was a stellar week, we were able to find a lot more people from our area to teach and they seem very interested in the gospel! Elder Nelson is finishing his first transfer in training it has been a great time and I have learned a ton being able to train him! We found Li This week she is from China but lives here in Blue Springs Elder Nelson was talking to her on Facebook and set up a lesson over video call, she didn't have much of a religious background but we asked her if she had a bible and she looked around her house and said here it is! Pulls out a Book of Mormon in Chinese it was super crazy then she had a lot of questions like how can I know if God is real so we just bore our testimonies and she felt the spirit hit her hard! So I gave Elder Nelson a knee tap and he invited her to be baptized! She accepted for August 15th!!!!!! She is a nurse and works at 2 hospitals so it's going to be hard to teach her everything and go to church but she said she will try her b...

We have had a super great week here in Blue springs, Elder Nelson and I have had so many people come to our English Connect classes and have been able to teach a lot of people because of it! It has been great! We have also been able to teach some super good lessons, the only bad part is we are still stuck at home :( one of our roommates had some symptoms and so he got tested but we still haven't received any results so we have been inside alllll week. I'm not much of an inside person but I guess it is what it is. We have been working hard to stay busy and we have seen a few miracles from it! So Saturday we were calling some past investigators and I felt like we needed to call this guy named Josh so we did it and we called two times and he didn't answer so we went to leave him a voice mail and it was full so we had the voicemail box send a text with our number, for some reason he said he thought it was some sort of bill paying phone call so he called us back! It's been another great week here in Blue Springs we have kind of hit a wall though for finding people we have to start coming up with some better ideas I guess? We got a new Mission President this week! President Ames is super cool he likes to play Golf and has a house in St.george haha so 2 of my mission Presidents live within a few minutes of my house in st.george! We had the chance to hear from him and some of his plans for the mission he seems like a really great guy. He shared with us some really cool scriptures, he knows them super well. We can mention something and he will say that sounds a lot like this scripture it's pretty crazy.  Saturday one of our roommates woke up with a fever and so we have been in quarantine for a while in the house and can't leave anymore :( so we have been trying to find things to do in our house because the cell service is terrible and makes it super hard to work online.  I think i figured out my purpose for being here in Missouri, Frida...
