Méxican Independencia dia

 First thing If anyone is trying to send me something on google hangouts email me first so I can add you because my email has crazy restrictions haha. Its mexico´s independence day here so things are crazy its been another great week. We had a multi zone confrence tuesday and they showed us our numbers and all of our numbers were really good except our new investigators and last week I think we had like 3 new investigators the goal was 1 a day but the president changed it to 2 a day and 1 on pday. This was a crazy big jump but they also changed how we would teach so just when I had about figured out how to do a contact they changed it. But its a lot better and the numbers show. They want us to start our contacts not by giving out cards but by teaching with the book of mormon. This was perfect because this way I didn´t have to come up with the words just use the works of the book of mormon. This has been working so well since tuesday we have had 11 new investigators not counting the ones we got during changes. Friday we did changes and I got to work with elder Rivera he is from mexico too but he is so funny. We had such a good time and worked the whole day all the way to the time limit 9:30 and got 5 new ivestigators in 1 day but they don´t count for me haha. We also invited 8 people to church but sadly only 1 came haha. People here will just be sitting out front of their house and we will ask like can we share a message with you about jesus christ and we always hear ohh were busy or ohh were catholic but I always try and be persistent and tell them ohh really quick or its all about jesus then read a quick scripture and its been working really well. But when they can´t they always say another day haha but they´re never home. Saturday was insane my we started working early in the morning and this guy comes up from this church that hates ours for idk what reason but he just starts asking us questions and trying to contend but luckily we got out of there with no problems but about 2 or 3 hours later we were studing the plan of salvation and this guy come up and says ohhh the elders. We were like yay a member but it was another guy trying to fight and he starts asking questions trying to contend but my comp isn´t having it starts arguing and my comp end up getting really heated I could understand about everything they were talking about and the guy kept calling us mormons and my comp can´t stand it I will say ohh were actually members of the church of jesus christ of later day saints and if they continue to call us mormons there´s nothing we can do but my comp got super heated and didn´t wanna talk to people the rest of the day because he was in a bad mood so I did most of the talking that day haha but he was fine the next day. We also had some crazy food that day too. If you don´t know me I don´t like fish or much seafood and  Everyday for lunch we eat with the members at one of the members houses. I heard them talking about ceviche and I was like well it was gonna happen sometime. I walk in and they had squid and snail ceviche and I was like noooooo im toast but it actually wasn´t too bad I finished it and felt like I had eaten half a squid it definately wasn´t my favorite but not as bad as I thought. But then I felt sick the whole day and it destroyed my stomache haha but I drank some aloe water cause thats supposed to help and I got better this morning. Sunday we took an investigator family to church and they had a great experience but at the end one of the speakers started talking about tithing and I thought the investigator was going to lose interest and after the meeting he talked asked us about it. He had no problems with it, it was a miracle. This guy was at church on sunday and he had tons of tattoos and looked like a thug had gages he wasn´t wearing but he had big holes in his ears. So I thought I´d go talk to him and he was telling me how he used to be a dilligent member of the church. This week his wife told him she wanted the good husband she had that went to church and did good things worked hard not the bad one anymore. She left him with their kids and it was really hard for him and he felt useless overdosed on drugs twice. He said after the second time he heard a voice that he was important and after that he knew he was supposed to be here and that he had a purpose. He said that he had stopped reading the book of mormon and doing the small and little things and that he was going to change his life and turn it around. Then he was talking about how he was accepted into the church with no problem and everyone was so friendly it was such an awesome story and this was his first week back to church since and this showed me how important it is to do the small and little things and how the church can bless our lives.  Were having tons of success right now it has been so awesome and I know that were blessed when we´re obedient and diligent. I know we wouldn´t be having the same amount of success as we are right know if it weren´t for how obedient and diligent we are, when I was working with elder Rivera it was 8:55 and we can go home at 9 but we weren´t sure what to do just to go home or keep working but we dicided to keep working and we saw some people working on their house so we went and helped them and even thought it was really hard we ended up getting 4 new investigators out of it and teaching them a lesson and one ended up going to church. Just goes to show the blessings from being obedient. Also lost my camera so no pics this week either sorry
