First transfer (besides the mtc) and some more spiritual experiences

We had transfers today and My companion is gone to campeche, But I got a new one he´s pretty dope he´s way less uptight than my old companion but I don´t know if thats a good or a bad thing but Im really excited he seems like a great missionary. Also Im still in Progreso which is awesome and now I can decide where we can go too which is really nice haha. Id send a picture but I still dont have a camera.

Friday I was really working on teaching with the spirit and listening to the spirit. We were contacting most of the day and I was speaking spanish perfectly fine it was amazing. Then we had a contact we were going to go visit. We were about mid way through the lesson and I could just feel that we needed to ask him to be baptized so I just asked.  Elder Leal was like whoah, started talking to him about baptism then asked him and he accepted on the first lesson it was awesome. After this we left and our plans fell through for that night so we were thinking of who to call, when sister chiquis came to my mind. I don`t know why because we have never called her since I have been here and we always call her son, Elder leal said she wouldn`t answer so we didn`t end up calling her and we got in the bus to go back to progreso. We get out of the bus and sister chiquis husband is walking by and so we stop him and are talking to him a little bit and he was having problems with his family so we went and talked to him. He said he was about to go drink because he was so frustrated but then he saw us. We were talking to him and it turns out he had the phone of sister chiquis. This was way cool for me because I just thought it was for some random reason that I wanted to call her. Were talking to him sharing a few scriptures and him and elder leal were talking a bunch and I couldn`t hear very well because there was a band playing close to were we were, but then a thought came into my head. ``ask him if he likes to run.´´ and I was like what thats the worst thing I could do. But then I was trying to think of what to say when elder leal looked at me to talk. I couldn`t think of anything and it came to my head again. Elder leal looks at me and that meant it was my turn to talk so I figured I would just talk about something random until I could think of something but I couldn`t talk. I ended up just asking him if he liked to run, and he said of course I won like 90 medals. I knew at that moment that it was the spirit talking to me and I told him the next time he has a problem he should do something he likes like running and it would help with his frustration. Imediately after he said, `` You know I feel better now`` This was by far the coolest experience I have ever had with the spirit before and I want to try and listen to the spirit the best I can always so I can always have days like these. We ended up teaching the family the next day and we were just chatting and their cousin walked in and we were about to start with a hymn and so we asked him if he wanted to join and he said sure why not. He isn`t a member or anything but we were like sweet. Started with a hymn which was perfect because he loves music and then a prayer. After the prayer he asks `` I have a question how can we know god hears our prayers.`` Perfect opportunity to teach ended up just teaching about that question and then asked him to be baptized and he accepted no problem haha we have tons of cool experiences out here in the mission its part of the reason everyone says the mission is the best two years of your life.

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. He said to stop focusing on the things you didn't like about your companion and to focus on the things your companion was good at and since then its been great. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome! The work keeps rolling

How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel.
