Got My Camera Back

This week we had the opportunity to go to the temple with 2 recent converts. The plan was to go with the members but they ended up leaving without us (Elder Bonilla, 2 Recent Converts, and I ) so we ended up going in auto progreso together and it was actually really good we got to talk to them about the temple. When we got to the temple grounds I could feel the peace that the temple brings, I have missed that so much. They were a little nervous at first but both got to be witnesses and had such a great experience. One of them got to baptize and was super nervous but after the first one he was baptizing them perfectly and everyone was watching the president of the temple president of the branch it reminded me of when alma is baptising all of the people who left with him in the wilderness because I would Imagine it was such a spiritual moment for those people. After we left he couldn`t stop talking about how much he loved going to the temple and how awesome it was for him and his wife. The president of the temple shared with him how awesome of a moment that was for him too. They ended up getting asked to share their experience and overall had such an amazing time. It reminded me of my first time at the temple I remember saying to my mom after my first time at the temple That I can`t wait to drive so I can go to the temple everyday but he definetly had a better experience than I did. Take advantage of all the opportunities you can to go to the temple because the spirit is so strong and the blessings are so big.

We also had a bomb lesson with an eternal (Someone missionaries have been teaching for over a year.) She shared how much she knows the gospel is true but she always prays for an answer but never recieved one. So I shared how she could recieve an answer if she went to church and promised her that if she went to church she would recieve an answer. I also said how hard the devil would work to keep her from coming to church and the spirit was so strong. We called her to confirm saturday and she was like ohh ya 100%. Church comes around not there call her doesn`t answer haha. Just a normal week in the life of a missionary. Yesterday we taught an investigator family that wants to be baptized the word of wisdom and the second they heard no coffee they were like we don`t know why but if its the word of god were not gonna drink it. Super awesome hopefully well baptize them sometime soon haha. Heres a few photos from the week. I believe one is with the family we took to the temple at the temple. One is with my comp Elder Bonilla but the lighting is pretty bad. A few just in progreso haha Idk. Have a great week.

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. He said to stop focusing on the things you didn't like about your companion and to focus on the things your companion was good at and since then its been great. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome! The work keeps rolling

How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel.
