Rafael

This week was really awesome we had the opportunity to baptize an investigator that we have been teaching for about 2 months. Rafael I had always heard that satan works really hard to cause problems for baptism and I have seen that for myself. We went to the church at 8 oclock to fill up the font for the baptism and after about 20 min it stopped filling. We tried to fix the problems called the zone leaders, president of the branch, various members of the branch but no one was available. We ended up deciding to go to a members house a ways away and fill up buckets of water and bring them back. We ended up taking more than 40 buckets and I believe was more than like 5 miles with water and 5 without. Was really hard but after one of the trips I was like we aren`t going to fill it in time for the baptism, so I said a quick little prayer for help and when we went back it was almost full and the faucet fixed it self. It truly was awesome to see this miracle and then the baptism. After the baptism Rafael said "There`s joy in the heavens because one of gods children has been forgiven of his sins" It was such and awesome experience!  After the baptism he took us 4 missionaries out to eat and he`s pretty poor and we all tried to pay but he said "today for you all and tomorrow for me" He truly is such an awesome guy haha.

We also are teaching this family and we had divisions this day. We walk in and we are just missing the lesson tithing and we walk in and for the first time they said "we don't have any money elders" and this was before we had even taught the lesson and I was like ohhhh crap how are we going to pull this off. They didn`t really have the trust with the companion I was with for divisions so I taught a lot by myself and I truly was blessed to have the help of the holy ghost because I know it should have been hard to accept but they accepted no problem. The faith of the people here in mexico is truly amazing I love it here! The people really do live by the saying today for you and tomorrow for me. It`s so awesome to see these people grow and I`m so thankful for the opportunity I have had to teach these people.
