¿Black Friday?

Over the week passed Thanksgiving and Black Friday but the Black Friday here is a little different haha, instead of the prices going down all the prices go up. You`d think everyone would buy everything before but everyone waits until the prices go up I don`t really understand it?


This week was really awesome I have been working with my new comp and its his last transfer so I have been learning a lotttt. After we finished writing the last week we went to visit this family we baptized the day before and they were all so happy and one of the daughters was seeing the blessings they had been receiving. We put a date for baptism with her and she had been studying a lot I was really impressed. I had been praying for her for quiet a while and it took a while and she still has a few problems we have to fix but she`s starting to improve really fast and I`m really exited for her.

We Also had divisions saturday with and elder in my district who started the same day as me. It was so cool to see how much we had both progressed and how although we don't have 100% perfect spanish we can still get work done and we didn't have a problem it was sweet.  we had so much fun working together and had so much success we found 5 new people in one day it was so awesome. Elder Jorgensen and I worked really good together and had a lot of fun and success in the process. As we were fasting I remember asking for help finding people and we were trying to find someone that we had contacted a few day`s earlier. We didn't have any luck but we were diligent and instead of giving up we kept searching and although we didn't find the person we were looking for we ended up finding three people who wanted to hear more about the book of mormon.

I was also fasting for some recent converts and usually with rafael we pass by on sunday to help him get to church but this time I didn't want too, to see if he`d still go. We are about at the church when he pulls up on his sick motorcycle it was so awesome before he didn`t have the strength to drive his motorcycle around but his health has been improving so much after his baptism. The 3 sisters we had baptized the week before didn't just come to church but brought all of their family with them who weren't members. It truly is a blessing when we fast if we fast with real intent and diligently we can really see miracle in our lives. A little sacrifice pays of big time. I really liked this scripture I found while I was fasting its in (D&C 59 14-16) 14 Verily, this is fasting and prayer, or in other words, rejoicing and prayer.

15 And inasmuch as ye do these things with thanksgiving, with cheerful hearts and countenances, not with much laughter, for this is sin, but with a glad heart and a cheerful countenance—

16 Verily I say, that inasmuch as ye do this, the fullness of the earth is yours.

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. He said to stop focusing on the things you didn't like about your companion and to focus on the things your companion was good at and since then its been great. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome! The work keeps rolling

How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel.
