New year New Everything

Good afternoon everybody I hope everyone is doing good and ready to start off the new year. So this last week we got transfer calls and I got sent to Maxcanù don`t worry if you don`t know where that is I didn`t either but basically its a little town and theres no more ocean haha. I was super sad to leave all the people behind especially the recent converts. I went to pass by rafael to tell him the news and he was so sad to see that I was going he almost cried and when he almost cried I almost cried. It was so sad to say goodbye then I went to the convert family and they were all sad and had been going through some hard times and when I said I was leaving it didn`t help them much but I shared with them endure to the end because when times get tough you gotta keep pushing forwards. I hope all is well but I`m so pumped to start here in maxcanù!

My companions name is Elder Flores from el salvador he`s seems pretty awesome but who knows I met him like 6 hours ago so we will have to see.

A cool story from this week is we went to an old investigators house who lives in flamboyanes which is like 30 min from progreso but he had a surgery and thats why he wasn`t available to learn but when we passed by he stopped us and said hey come and teach me and I was like well I can`t say no to that haha. But he was so ready to hear the message we had and we invited him to church and he came from super far away. I also had divisions with elder rivera for the last time and we had the goal to put a baptismal date with a new person we were teaching and we show up to the house and her mom was there to that we had been teaching a little but we felt like she had lost interest. We were teaching the lesson and I just thought of the word baptism and felt the spirit so strong so I was full send and explained baptism a little bit to them and we invited them to be baptized and they accepted it was super awesome but we will see what happens out there in progreso.

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. He said to stop focusing on the things you didn't like about your companion and to focus on the things your companion was good at and since then its been great. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome! The work keeps rolling

How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel.
