Crazy Week
We got transfer calls on saturday and they told me they`d be sending me elder Cuz from Guatemala and hes got 19 months in the mission! They moved me to senior comp and Ill be running the Area! Had to say goodbye to Elder Flores from El Salvador! We have a lot of work to do this transfer and were hoping to have a lot of success! We also ended up changing our district and were a bunch of new missionaries and we have a lot of fun things planned!
Yesterday was pretty insane I got to confirm someone for the first time and it was so cool I could feel the spirit so strong! We finished confirming everyone that we had baptized throughout the transfer hopefully that never happens again. Then they asked me to speak out of the blue haha so I winged it and I probably spoke a lot longer than I did for my farewell and without any notes about the restoration. We are truly blessed that the gospel of jesus christ has been restored today so that we can receive the blessings. The priesthood and the book of mormon are such huge blessings we have and we can`t let them go to waste. Satan is getting stronger and stronger so we all need to get stronger by reading the book of mormon everyday and partaking of the sacrament every week so that we can always avoid the temptations of the devil and always remember jesus Christ.
On saturday night we were teaching a recent convert out in front of her house and a drunk guy comes out of nowhere and puts his arm around me and says "Hey will you teach me about Besus" Normally that`d freak me out but its pretty normal here in mexico. I also saw a drunk guy riding his bike in the street and well lets just say that didn`t turn out too well #DontDrinkAndDrive. We also had a going away lunch for my companion so I cooked a sweeeeeet meal, (my comp has the photos so ill try and get them) I ended up cooking a mexican food that one of the members had taught me called "Al Hambre" it was super good and I ended up cooking like 50 pound worth of food it was insane to feed about 20 people. We also smashed a cake in his face haha! Thats been about it always keep us missionaries in your prayers!
Love Elder Jones
