Whoaaah never saw this coming
So as all of you already probably know this coronavirus thing is crazy and the sad day has come were getting sent home! Super sad to be leaving Maxcanu and the best mission ever Mission Mexico Merida it has been so great and I have had so many great experiences but am so sad to leave. I am so grateful for the things I have been able to learn and the people I met. Hopefully they ́ll send me back! I´ll only be home for about 2 weeks then I will go somewhere in the U.S. ( temporarily) I have had some of the best experiences here of my life and I don´t regret the decision I made to come. Theres no place or thing I´d rather be doing than to be serving the lord. This has been the best decision I have ever made and its only beginning!
Today I finished 8 months 1/3 of the mission!!!!! This week was crazy every day they gave us new rules of things we cant do for our health. But we still managed to have a transfer high of 11 NEW INVESTIGATORS it was super dope and we got them all in 3 days!!!!!!!! Because on thursday they told us we weren´t allowed to contact houses or people :( We also put 2 Baptismal dates with investigators who would never accept baptism hope to be able to stay in contact with them and prepare them for baptism. It was a super crazy and great week!! Great way to leave the mission although Im not sure when Ill get sent home we are on quarantine so the days aren´t gonna be the same and my comp is going home on wednesday! My companion and I have been working as hard as possible this week and when we received this news it was hard to take in because of the incredible things that we accomplished in the work this week.
Luckily we had a chance to apply the things that we were teaching and we read a couple verses in Alma to understand what we can do to trust more in the Lord. In Alma 58: 8-12 Heleman talks about a moment when his army was afraid of an enemy that they didn't think they could overcome. BUT, the next thing that happened was they immediately prayed and asked for guidance. When they did that, the verses in Alma tells us that they received a strong confirmation of the peace that they could find when they relied on their God. I learned to apply this same thing this week as I am facing something that I have never confronted before; an insurmountable enemy. I know that when we pray the Lord is listening, and I know that there is no other way to find peace and comfort in times such as these, than in trusting in Christ with all of our hearts.
Love you all and hopefully I can keep you all posted where ill be going and all the craziness thats happening!!
