Elder Nelson!!!

It's been another great week! This week started a little sad we had to say goodbye to Elder Clements:( He finished his mission and is home now but in came the trainee Elder Nelson!!!!! Super cool Elder Nelson and I went to the same school and knew each other before the mission super excited that I get to train him! We have been able to see a few miracles already!! 

This week Elder Sanns and I were able to teach a guy from Germany who speaks Spanish! The guy was really cool he was a preacher in his church and he had a lot of interesting views of himself and jesus christ and as we were closing the lesson it was super funny we asked if we could close with a prayer and he said sure then "wait! wait! wait! Do you guys want to get baptized?" Elder Sanns and I were so confused we both just started laughing haha! After we referred the guy to the missionaries in Germany! 

Little spiritual experience I had was I was reading preach my gospel Friday morning and I was studying a chapter about how to find new people and there's one titled "Talk to Everyone," I didn't think much of it until we were trying to find someone new to teach and it came to my mind "Talk to Everyone," so that's what I did I contacted soooooo many people here in the Blue Springs area and we were able to find someone who was in need of the gospel her son has cancer so we shared with her the plan of Salvation and she seemed interested and said she had a few questions for us when she was less busy!


Another cool story last night Elder Nelson and I were teaching a member out on her front porch and as we were leaving her neighbor pulls up to his house that we had done service for a while back! Before he told us he would be interested in hearing our message but we weren't able to find a time to do it but yesterday he told us he had his schedule and we were able to set an appointment for this week so we're really excited to see how it goes!! Hopefully we're able to see another week of miracles this coming week keep us in your prayers! I love you all - Elder Jones

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. He said to stop focusing on the things you didn't like about your companion and to focus on the things your companion was good at and since then its been great. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome! The work keeps rolling

How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel.
