Super crazy week and goodbye Elder Clements


We have had such a crazy and great week! This week we were able to expand our teaching pool a but which was really nice because we weren't teaching many before! We got a new elder too so now we have 4 elders here and 2 companionships! My companion now is Elder Clements but transfers are this Thursday and he is finishing his mission this Thursday! Super crazy but now they are going to have me train which is going to be crazy because I just got to the mission and still don't know much about it here haha! I'm super excited though and I hope we will be blessed with some more success! 


Some cool and funny things from the week Last Monday we played soccer with a bunch of missionaries and I saw this guy moving a soccer goal and he looked like he needed help so I went over and started helping him, he was really appreciative and I ended up giving him a Book of Mormon on the spot mid soccer match haha! We also have one of our new investigators Adam we were able to get him on date!!!! He is super awesome a funny thing he said this week was " excuse me elders I need to go take a squirt can you wait a second?" Me and my companion just about died haha! Another new guy we started teaching was a preacher named dominic, he is super funny he told us that he had been tearing up the scriptures since he was young, (He's been studying them) he has bible studies every week and he wants us to join him in teaching one of them! We had a tiny tornado hit here the past week so we got to do some service because it had destroyed a few trees. 


The highlight of the week would have to be yesterday we had a devotional with Elder Yagii (I probably spelt that wrong oops) he is a member of the quorum of the seventy and he is soooooo young, but we got to study come follow me with him. Some invitations that he gave us were to write 5 things were grateful for every day and see how joyful we become! Just like alma when he's thanking god for all his blessings then he is filled with joy! Another invitation was to read president Oak's talk about the plan of salvation from April Conference 2020 and after pray to know if we are children of god! Hopefully everyone already knows but it's still always nice to have a spiritual confirmation. I'm super excited to be here in the mission now its definitely not the same work as it used to be but its always nice to try new things! This next week is going to be pretty crazy but it will be a great one! Love you all!

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. He said to stop focusing on the things you didn't like about your companion and to focus on the things your companion was good at and since then its been great. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome! The work keeps rolling

How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel.
