què pasa calibasa

Holy crap this week has been awesome we have been working so much so hard. Me and my companion have only had two problems haha one is that we both love to work long and hard that im pretty sure I sprained my ankle haha its giant. Also he doesn´t speak any english but is trying to learn and I can understand his spanish better than his english hahahah. I have so much to say but I don`t know where to start so I`ll just start day by day.

Tuesday
Right after I sent my big email we went to go eat at a less active members house and the food was actually pretty good we had some chicken rice and beans. We went street contacting for the first time and we were just getting rejected left and right. Nobody wanted the gospel then we saw this homeless guy and I was like ohh he`ll accept it for sure. HE REJECTED US haha I was like wow this is the next two years haha So we went back to the less active members house and I just said a little quick prayer in my head and we went back out and the very next guy accepted our message and seemed super interested. Just goes to show a little faith goes a long way. After that we had quite a bit of success throughout the day and I was so happy and that night we had like a youth activity and we all played volleyball it was awesome.

Wednesday
We had two other elders in our district Elder Stuart from Utah and Elder Rivera from mexico they were both awesome and so nice to have an elder who spoke english but he had some problems so Elder Stuart had to go back to the U.S. for surgery. I could tell my spanish had gotten so much better at this point and we went and did some more street contacts and we were just having success left and right it was great my comp said that I´m really good at following the spirit and finding people so I always choose where to go. also sprained my ankle or something sometime this day but continued to work.

Thursday
We went to an area my comp has never been to and hes been here for 4 and a half months. We were doing some door to door contacting and actually doing pretty good the people there really seemed to like what we had to say we got a lot of appointments from this area and a 3 new investigators. We invited 6 people to church at this point and they accepted but I´m not sure how many will actually come(3). My ankle was hurting so bad by the end of the day and was realy big but I wasn´t gonna keep us from working haha.

Friday 
Our first appointment of the day we commited 2 people to baptism and we´re going to commit the whole family of 5 but they weren´t all there. after that we went to one of our appointments and usually the people aren´t home or have some excuse and we got there and they said ohh we already know your church and we´re not interested so we gave them a pamflet and the daughter started reading it and the mom was just tearing us down it was funny and kinda savage but then her daughter that was reading the pamplet was like no mom I actually wanna hear them out. I was super suprised and super excited. We started teaching the restorating and got to the point of the first vision and I explained the whole thing then said the first vision off of memory in spanish and the spirit was so strong and they had a complete change of heart they said they couldn´t come to church this sunday but would next and asked if we could meet again and it shows how the spirit can change someone.

Saturday.
all of our appointments bailed so we were doing a lot of street contacting and it was going pretty good. I could at this point do it all by my self most of the time. We´re walking through the street and this guy says ahhh mormones (mormons in spanish) then he sees me and is like ohh an american you speak english - used about 3 ´´F´´ word in that sentence and I was so confused and he was drinking and was drunk as crap. So I started talking to him in english and it was so easy but I guess he had been deported a little while ago haha but he was pretty cool we´re going to try and meet with him again when he´s not drunk. Talked to another guy from saint george he spoke english too and he was like ya I wanna go to church with you guys and I was like ok but he definately wansn´t coming haha.

Sunday 
We had church didn´t understand a whole lot but we had 3 investigators and are planning on bringing 10 next week. It´s crazy how much success were having but were working really hard and being super obedient and we´re being blessed for it. All of our appointments we´re either drunk or busy sunday so we had an hour and a half to kill so we went to a less active members house. We were just joking around with them and having a good time. Then we asked if we could read some scriptures with them. 1 Nephi 8 (Lehis dream of the Iron rod and the tree of life) It was going pretty good then the people we were teachings older brother walks in and we are talking to him and he was like  ´´ I´ve been thinking and I don´t think I wanna go to church anymore.´´ and we we´re both just in shock and elder Leal instantly flipped to a scripture and I was trying to figure out what they we´re talking about cause I get confused with the scriptures and so I just planned on following the spirit. I felt just like nephi in 1st Nephi chapter 4 verse 6 ´´6 And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do.  He started sharing the scriptures and I could just feel the spirit so strong then he looks at me and I had no clue what he had just shared so I shared, Mosiah 2:34 ´´ I say unto you, that there are not any among you, except it be your little children that have not been taught concerning these things, but what knoweth that ye are eternally ^aindebted to your heavenly Father, to render to him ^ball that you have and are; and also have been taught concerning the ^crecords which contain the prophecies which have been spoken by the holy prophets, even down to the time our father, Lehi, left Jerusalem.´´ and explained how we´re eternally indebted to our heavenly father and that he would never lead us astray and always bless us when we keep the commandments. and he said that it made sense. I was so happy and the whole family was crying and me and Elder Leal and they had a complete change of heart it was so awesome.
