10102020 baby!!!!

This week was absolutely AWESOME!!! Tuesday I went on exchange with one of the Elders in my district and we were able to find 3 new people which was pretty awesome! Then Wednesday we had a mission tour with Elder Wong (not Gong) and it was great. A mission tour is not really a mission tour, basically it was just a zone conference with an member of the 70. Elder Wong taught us a lot about how we need to work with members more often and how we can use them to help on the missionary work. So we decided we would try and be better at that. So on Thursday we went to teach Bud (his real name is George but he likes us to call him Bud) and he just married a member of our ward so we had a super good lesson and we invited him to be baptized and he accepted! His wife and her kids aren't very active in the church but missionary work has encouraged them to come back so they have been to church twice now which is pretty cool! Friday we finished zone conference and he taught us how to use modern day parables for teaching and told us to quit teaching like robots haha. Saturday was pretty chill and then Sunday was SUPER GREAT!
To start the day we went to church, Joshua, Bud, Shanta, and 3 kids Forever, Zaire, and Lamont came to church! Right after church we taught Joshua and he told us he wants to get baptized on his Birthday and hes for real going to quit smoking so we gave him 5 packs of gum and told him to quit smoking and start chewing some gum. We will see if it works. After that we went and taught a few members, then Shanta and we brought sister Martin and it went super well she told us she completely quit drinking coffee and

that she wants us to teach her daughter as well so they can get baptized together! Then we moved the date from Halloween to 10/10/2020 its gonna be LITTTT haha! Shes super cool though and were really excited. After that we got to teach this BOSS Jimmy. I found Jimmy on Facebook, Jimmy used to be an MMA fighter until he got in a car accident and now hes in a wheelchair and he literally reminds me of a humble version of Connor McGregor hes super cool. We had brother Bradshaw with us and they seemed to connect very well. (Thanks Elder Wong) we got to the end of our lesson and we started teaching him about the Book of Mormon and he said the other day he was selling stuff at a festival in a booth and he felt drawn to go to a specific booth where nobody went, there he saw an antique book of Mormon and he said it grabbed his attention and he felt like he needed to have it. He ignored the prompting but then I texted him on Facebook. It was super cool and he knows that God is trying to tell him something. HE'S A STUDDDDDD!!!!!! The Book of Mormon is so awesome everyone make sure you read it every day there are too many blessing that you will pass up if you don't. 5, 10, 20 min it doesn't matter just read it! I love you all have a great week!
