CRAZY WEEK! (Transfers)

 Transfers came and went and I thought they were going to send a lot of us away but he wants to keep us here so Elder Nelson and I are on transfer 3 together! We did get a new Elder, Elder Burkett hes pretty cool he likes sports so luckily we will get to play lots of sports! 


Haley- Haley is an atheist lady who had no interest in learning about the gospel she wouldn't even let us pray but after time we have slowly been able to help her feel the spirit, first she allowed us to pray then talk about scripture and now she has started reading the Book of Mormon and came to church yesterday and brought her entire family!!!

SHANTA- Shanta is an absolute BEAST!!!! The zone leaders told us to go do some service for her and so we did and after we shared the gospel with her, we had a super spirit filled lesson and she told us she knew that what we were sharing was true! We invited her to be baptized and she set her own date haha for October 31! Then sunday she showed up and brought her whole family and had a great time. Then we taught her again right after church and she told us she wants to get baptized asap! 

Julie- a while ago I made a post on facebook asking if anyone wanted a bible and she wanted one so we went to her house and we could tell she didn't like missionaries. But we invited her to have a bible study and she said sure. We taught her a couple or bible study lessons and then yesterday we decided we should give the Book of Mormon a shot. So we taught her the restoration and we had such a spirit filled lesson it was amazing. She accepted a Book of Mormon and commited to read it I guess we will have to see how it goes!

We have had a good week this week and have seen lots of miracles. I have been focusing a lot on the power of the spirit and the importance of the spirit and it has been so awesome. I just love the spirit sometimes we get stuck in situations where we don't know what to say then the spirit comes in clutch, and just takes over it is so awesome. There is no better tool than the spirit and it has been so awesome helping others feel and recognize the spirit! We hope to keep this momentum going throughout the transfer we will see how it goes keep us in your prayers!

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. He said to stop focusing on the things you didn't like about your companion and to focus on the things your companion was good at and since then its been great. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome! The work keeps rolling

How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel.
