Work keeps rolling

 We are still having a ton of success in our area, we have been teaching a lot of people, Shanta is one of them and she is an absolute stud! She has read the introduction, 3 and 8 witnesses, testimony of Joseph Smith, all the way to 1st Nephi 11! She has tons of good questions like "why did God command  Nephi to kill Laban" she said the gospel has filled a hole in her heart that she didn't know was there! She is super excited to be baptized, yesterday we covered everything we were worried about but she didn't have a single problem with it. Yesterday we brought a member and they just became great friends, and after we left a couple other members went over and became friends with her, it has been super awesome! She is so much happier now than she was when we first met her! She has 3 kids and 2 of them are just the funniest, they always are talking like there from the hood and trash talking each other. The funniest part of it all is that they're 6 and 7. We have a lot of others we are teaching but I think it's so cool to see how the gospel can change people's lives so quick! Missionary work is just the best. 


This week I have been reading a lot of conference talks from President Nelson and it's been super cool theres a lot of things he said that I just didn't notice until I read them! The coolest part was just that I could feel the spirit so strong as I read it. You all should definitely go and read all of his talks from the last conference it was really cool! Then yesterday we watched the face to face event and something that Elder Rasband said "The most important thing we can study are the words of the prophets, it is the safest and most sure way to follow God on the earth" Everyone needs to study the words of our prophet, they are a huge blessing to us! Something I liked from Pres Nelson's talk "I would like to confer upon you an apostolic blessing.I bless you with peace and increasing faith in the Lord.I bless you with a desire to repent and become a little more like Him each day.I bless you to know that the Prophet Joseph Smith is the prophet of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in its fulness." I have seen all of these blessings in my life since this talk and I'm sure all of you do to!

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. He said to stop focusing on the things you didn't like about your companion and to focus on the things your companion was good at and since then its been great. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome! How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel.
