NEW LEADERSHIP (From Pres. Ames)

Elder Brady Graff Jones ,

After prayerful consideration, I am pleased to extend to you the calling of Zone Leader. This special calling is a position of trust. This calling has come to you because of your faithfulness and diligence in the Lord's service.

Your actions in word and deed will be followed and emulated by the missionaries in your Zone. Be ever mindful of your influence on the other missionaries.

You will serve on the Mission Leadership Council. You will be responsible to train with exactness that which you are taught at those special meetings.

You become an extension of the Mission President to look after, correct, up-lift, teach and love the missionaries in your Zone. You will be required to travel with this assignment. Drive carefully, and obey and honor the traffic laws.

To effectively serve in this special calling you must always be worthy and an example of obedience. Your influence will have a profound effect on the missionaries in your Zone.

Be prayerful and humble. The Lord is mindful of you and will watch over you. Sister Ames and I extend to you our love and trust.

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. He said to stop focusing on the things you didn't like about your companion and to focus on the things your companion was good at and since then its been great. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome! The work keeps rolling

How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel.
