The Trio (Last weeks email) 🤦🏽‍♂️

 I am extremely sorry this is last weeks email that I wrote out but completely forgot to send, by the time I had realized it was already to late to send. I will send another one later today as well!


Alrighty let me just say when you are hoping to have just a normal week it never happens. To start we had MLC this week, (Mission Leadership Council) it was really good, we got to learn a lot of ways we can be better as leaders, we also learned how we can help our missionaries become better! It was really good they talked a lot about using our time wisely and goal setting! Bro Littlefield gave us a training and was talking about how we can improve as missionaries and leaders. It was super good, and he is actually one of the guys that was part of the writing of Preach my Gospel! The work is still rolling we have to give a training at zone conference tomorrow and we still haven't had much time to prepare because of all the crazy stuff going on! 

Okay so by this point your probably wondering about the trio from the title. So I guess there was a bunch of bad things going on between missionaries and a bunch almost got sent home or could be sent home, but anyway we had a busy day Saturday and we get a call from one of the APs that said hey Elders we need you to pick up a missionary in an hour out in independence there was a bunch of missionaries who got emergency transferred and we need you to take this one! We also had an important lesson so we went on a mini exchange and picked up the missionary. So now we are in a temporary trio with Elder Morales! It's been pretty fun he has no joke 50 different weights so we have been able to do some good workouts with our new personal gym that he brought! 

The work is still rolling this week I went on exchange this week with this new missionary Elder Miller and I needed to hype him up so I decided we were going to invite everyone we could to be baptized haha and we invited 2 that morning and 3 at night! A family of 3 they're super solid and will get baptized here soon! Only issue is that we found out they actually live a street out of our area 😥 so we are going to give them to some other missionaries but we are excited that they will be baptized soon! 

Were excited for the week we have ahead and I really liked what I heard from president Nelson's talk from conference "Throughout the proceedings, I have pictured you in my mind listening to conference. I have asked the Lord to help me understand what you are feeling, worrying about, or trying to resolve. I have wondered what I might say to conclude this conference that would send you forth with the optimism about the future that I know the Lord wants you to feel." I am super excited to see what the future has in store for all of us! I know its going to be great! I love you all - Elder Jones

3- Some Jack Stacks (KC Barbecue) that stuff left us all broke cause it was expensive haha
4- singing for a live nativity Christmas program, no big deal!
5- the first ever highly effective Zone Council! It's like a district council but with the whole zone and not president so it's not zone conference!

finally my first pday

I don´t even know where to start haha. I got off the plane last tuesday with about 30 other missionaries, and half of them were going to my mission. We took a bus to the mtc and I got to know everyone going to my district and I liked most of them but there was one kid who I didn't want to have as a companion because we had nothing in common. I like to play sports he liked to read books, I like to be outside, he likes to read books haha. But of course we got assigned to be companions and I had kind of a bad attitude about it for my first 2 days and those were the longest two days ive ever had. I prayed that I could come to love my companion and that day we listened to a talk by elder gong and he was talking about the importance of having a good relationship with your companion. It is great to be back

How is everyone doing? I know it's been a while but for all of those who didn't know I have been reassigned from merida mexico, to independence Missouri! I have 2 new companions (so were in a trio) and we are in the blue springs area (Kansas city)! It has been pretty different teaching over the phone and in english but it is still awesome! We have been teaching a lot of members and looking for a lot of new investigators, we have just been making phone call after phone call and looking for people to teach through Facebook! It has been super awesome and I have been able to find a few spanish speakers that seem pretty interested. Missouri is so pretty everything is so green and there's grass and lakes everywhere! Were right by the Missouri river too and that's pretty huge haha. My new companions are Elder Clements and Elder Thiriot and there both pretty awesome! The work keeps rolling

How is everyone doing? Hope good, everything is going good here in maxcanú were working hard and finding new people to teach! We have quite a bit of people progressing were hoping to baptize a few more here in Maxcanú. We have a baptism coming up this week for saul! I was talking to him and hes going to turn 17 this week and I asked him what are you gonna do when you turn 18 and he told me he wants to go on the mission. I was super pumped haha because he still hasn't even been baptized yet super awesome. We also had a multizone and I got to see some of the elders in Progreso my old area and they told me that the converts are starting to work hard with the missionaries and help them get more people to teach and progress. I was super excited to here that! We are also teaching this new investigator and her dad and sister were baptized 20 years ago but she never accepted the gospel.
